Ahead With English in the Basel Area

We teach after school English classes for children from kindergarten age up to teenagers at our two locations in Therwil and Riehen.

We structure our lessons for all levels of English in group classes, private lessons or online via Zoom. We cater to English speakers as well to those learning English as a new language, starting with our unique Learn & Play program, exploring vocabulary for Kindergarten aged children.

For younger children we offer a nurturing preschool in the mornings and a playgroup for parents and their children to experience our English speaking community at AWE.
Our aim is to help all our students develop skills to communicate in English with ease and confidence. We offer children the opportunity of studying for and taking Cambridge for Schools exams, up to the highest levels. We also teach adults on request.

Our classes are small, hands-on and fun! All of our teachers are highly trained, native English speakers. Effective communication is the key to success!
